Finding an IT partner who truly knows their field and stays around over the long run is rare. SmartWave has done this work since 2001: an independent, 100% Swiss services company, 67 experts, close to 15 years of experience on average. Our clients in the public sector, healthcare, finance and industry have worked with us for 10, 15, 20, even 25 years.

We support IT departments across 4 areas of expertise:

  • Build: custom and Mendix low-code applications, now accelerated by AI.
  • Connect: API management and hybrid integration, for an information system without silos.
  • Secure: identity and access management (IAM/IGA) and governance of new AI uses.
  • Accelerate: cloud, DevOps and software supply chain security.

We work on turnkey projects or as team reinforcement, only on subjects we know in depth.

This year, we are putting our work on AI forward. For us, AI is not a separate offering: it runs through all 4 areas of expertise. Our conviction: it proves itself in production. We design and operate AI in regulated environments, where data cannot leave its perimeter. This is sovereign AI, running on the client's premises or with a Swiss operator. Depending on the context, we choose between local, hybrid and cloud. The right model in the right place.

On our stand, together with our partners Axway and Mendix (Siemens), we show how it all fits together in practice. If this speaks to you, let's take the time to talk.

Low-Code: The Innovation Accelerator for the State of Valais

The State of Valais, through its Cantonal IT Service, has been working with a new low-code platform for the past year. This platform has become an innovation accelerator for the state's digital transition.

Since 2014, the State of Valais has embarked on a digital transformation journey with the initial goal of improving administrative processes within the cantonal administration. The aim was to facilitate citizens' access to services and reduce the bureaucracy associated with these processes.

Low-code is a tool that allows users to create applications without writing code. The platform uses a drag-and-drop feature and offers a visual editor that enables users to build their own applications quickly and easily without having to code themselves.

The platform was developed by Mendix, a Dutch company specializing in low-code development tools that can be used by non-technical users who want to create customized applications rapidly and effortlessly.

The State of Valais chose Mendix because it allowed the delegation of responsibilities related to the development of new systems and applications, as well as the management of existing systems. Additionally, it has accelerated the digital transformation process while ensuring data security.
